The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regards to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area regularly. The service level established for intervention encounters a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all prospects and increase access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
